About The Farm: Family owned and operated for over 30 years, Golden State Genetics raises purebred Landrace, Hampshire, Yorkshire, Duroc and Berkshire hogs. The farm specializes in roaster pigs, suckling pigs, market hogs, show pigs and seedstock. It is located in the Central Valley of California in Turlock.
What inspires your family? I love to spend time with the family in the kitchen. Preparing a pork dish for any occasion lets us be together and have fun.
What do you think is the number one misconception about pork producers? The number one misconception about pork producers is that we mistreat animals. As a pork producer, I pride myself in the fact that I help raise a quality, safe and healthy product for consumers to enjoy with their families. Our number one priority is the animal’s health and well-being.
What is one interesting/intriguing fact about you and/or your farm? I love raising pigs. I have been involved in showing pigs at numerous events for over 25 years!
