About The Farm: Family owned and operated for more than three generations, the Lamb’s farm has is a wean-to-feed pigs farm in North Carolina, selling about 20,000 pigs annually. Lamb raises Bermuda grass hay on five acres and the office, houses and lagoon take up over three acres.
What inspires your family? Flavorful food is what inspires my family. We like BBQ, pork chops and loins in our household. We try to keep dinner inspiring by adding different flavors and ingredients to each meal.
What do you think is the number one misconception about pork producers? I think one of the worst stereotypes of pork producers is that we use hormones to make the pigs grow faster. The truth is hormones are not used to promote growth in hogs.
What is one interesting/intriguing fact about you and/or your farm? I'm a minority farmer and was one of the youngest owner operators when I started at age 25.
