Prep time: 15 min Cook time: 7-8 hours Serves: 8 (about 16 sliders) Mix the pork rub and smoked paprika together and rub the roast with the blend, thoroughly. Heat olive oil in heavy-bottomed pan, on med-high heat, and sear roast about 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and stud the roast with the cloves. Place roast in crock-pot and top with onions. Pour in the root beer and slow cook for about 7 hours. Remove pork, discard cloves and any excess fat and grease remaining in pot. When pork is cool enough to handle, shred with your hands or a fork. Return meat to the crock-pot with the bbq sauce and heat for another 30-45 minutes. Serve warm on your slider buns and top with fresh coleslaw. Knockout flavor! Enjoy!! |
